  2. Invite contributors — Select teammates from your monday.com workspace and they’ll get a bell notification to sign
  3. Everyone signs — Contributors add their personal message, pick a GIF, and choose a font
  4. Deliver the card — The recipient gets a beautiful card with all the messages and an opening animation

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can sign a Group Card?
Any full member of your monday.com workspace can be invited to sign. Group Card uses native monday.com notifications, so contributors don't need to create another account or log in anywhere new — just click the bell notification and write their message.
What occasions does Group Card support?
Group Card includes 9 occasion types: Birthday, Work Anniversary, Farewell, Thank You, Congratulations, New Baby, Get Well, Welcome, and Custom. Each occasion comes with themed templates.
How does card delivery work?
You set a delivery date and time when creating the card. Group Card automatically delivers it via a monday.com notification at the scheduled time, complete with an opening animation of confetti, balloons, or sparkles.
Is Group Card free to use?
Group Card is currently in private beta. Install it from the monday.com marketplace to try it out. Contact us at support@bam-apps.com for access.
Where is the card data stored?
All card data, messages, and contributor information is stored via monday.com's Storage API within your workspace. OAuth tokens are stored in monday.com's encrypted SecureStorage. No data is stored on external servers.
Can recipients receive a card if they don't use monday.com?
The recipient needs to be a member of your monday.com workspace because card delivery uses native monday.com notifications. For external recipients (former employees, clients, partners), invite them to your workspace as a guest first, or use the preview URL to send them a direct link instead of relying on the notification.
Can contributors sign anonymously?
Contributors sign with their monday.com identity by default so the recipient can see who wrote each message. Anonymous signing isn't a built-in mode — if you want a message to read as anonymous, sign it with a generic name in the message body.
What GIFs and images can I add to a card?
Each message supports adding a GIF from Giphy via the built-in picker — no separate Giphy account needed. Custom image uploads aren't supported in messages today; the imagery on a card comes from the chosen template.
What happens after a card is delivered — can I edit or resend it?
Once a card is delivered the recipient sees the finished card with the opening animation. The card itself is no longer editable, but it remains accessible from the card list for organisers and contributors to revisit. If you need to send something extra, create a new card.
Does Group Card work for fully remote and distributed teams?
Yes — that's the design point. Delivery is scheduled in the recipient's timezone (defaulting to 09:00 local), contributors sign asynchronously via a bell notification, and the opening animation works the same on any device. There's no need to coordinate a single moment of in-person celebration.
