How to Set It Up in 3 Steps

Step 1: Add the View

Open your monday.com board, click + to add a view, and select Google Easy Embed Pro from the apps list.

Step 2: Connect Your Google Account

Click Connect with Google and authorize the app. It uses the drive.file OAuth scope, which means it can only access files you explicitly select — never your entire Drive. See Connect to Google for details on permissions.

Step 3: Pick Your File

Use the Google Drive file picker to browse or search for your file. Select it and the embed loads immediately. Need to swap files later? Use the file options menu.

Configuring Access Modes

The access mode controls what your team can do with the embedded file. Click the Access dropdown in the toolbar to choose:

• View — read-only; teammates see the file through the connector’s account
• Comment — teammates can leave comments but cannot edit content
• Edit — full collaboration; each user connects their own Google account
• Restricted — access controlled entirely through existing Google sharing settings
