Getting Started

Create your first group greeting card in monday.com — pick an occasion, invite teammates, and schedule delivery.

This guide walks you through creating your first group card, inviting contributors, and scheduling delivery.

Step 1 — Add Group Card to Your Board

  1. Open the monday.com board where you want to manage group cards
  2. Click the + button at the top of your board, next to your existing views
  3. Select Apps from the view options
  4. Search for Group Card and select it

The app opens as a new board view ready for your first card.

Step 2 — Create a Card

From the Group Card view, click New Card and:

  1. Pick an occasion — Birthday, Work Anniversary, Farewell, Thank You, Congratulations, New Baby, Get Well, Welcome, or Custom
  2. Choose a template — 20+ professionally designed templates with a real greeting-card look and feel
  3. Name the recipient — the person the card is for
  4. Set a delivery date — when the card should be delivered

Step 3 — Invite Contributors

Group Card supports two ways to collect signatures:

Workspace members. Pick teammates from your monday.com workspace. They receive a native bell notification and can sign directly inside monday.com — no extra login required.

External signers. Copy the external signing link and share it via Slack, email, or any channel. Anyone with the link can sign — no monday.com account needed.

The organizer can send nudge reminders to anyone who hasn’t signed yet.

Step 4 — Sign the Card

Each contributor adds their message in a few steps:

  1. Write a personal message — smart prompts like “What’s your favorite memory with Sarah?” help kickstart genuine, personal messages
  2. Pick a font — choose from a curated set of fonts to personalize the message
  3. Add a GIF (optional) — browse Giphy directly from the signing screen and pick the perfect GIF

Contributors can preview their contribution before submitting.

Step 5 — Deliver the Card

On the scheduled delivery date, Group Card delivers automatically — no action required from the organizer. The recipient receives:

  • A beautiful card page with every message
  • The chosen opening effect — confetti, balloons, or sparkles
  • A shareable view they can revisit any time

Optional — Use the Organizer Dashboard

From the Group Card board view, the organizer can:

  • Track who has signed
  • Send nudge reminders to teammates who haven’t signed yet
  • Preview the full card before delivery
  • Manage the delivery date and occasion

That’s it — your team has a beautiful, collaborative way to celebrate every moment without leaving monday.com.
